- Eat small meals throughout the day. When you are feeling nauseous 24/7, it can be hard to keep your stomach full. We recommend eating small snacks and often to help maintain your sugar levels.
- Choose cold foods over hot ones. If cooking smells increase your nausea, we recommend eating cold foods, like salads or sandwiches, until you are past your first trimester.
- Eat foods that are rich in protein. Consuming foods that are high in protein and vitamin B, such as nuts, will help ease your nausea.
- Stay hydrated. Remembering to drink water throughout the day is important during your pregnancy, and staying hydrated will help reduce feelings of nausea.
- Try sniffing lemons. Smelling lemons can help ease feelings of nausea.
- Drink ginger tea. When used sparingly, ginger can help reduce morning sickness. We recommend putting peeled ginger root in tea and sipping on it or eating crystallized ginger when you feel nauseous.
